This research work is aimed at conducting a study on violent television programs and their influence on the academic behavior of 4th years of basic education of the "Luz del Mundo" school of the Cantón windows province los Ríos. The central problem of the investigation was the following: How do violent television problems affect and their influence on students' academic behavior? Previously, a general objective was formulated as follows: Evidence of the most perceived causes and consequences of violent television problems and their influence on academic behavior in students. The methods used were: The Inductive-Deductive method, which allowed the verification of the proposed variables. Two instruments were applied: a survey applied to Parents and Teachers to identify violent television programs that affect student behavior. Television influences the emotional areas of the child, in all their interests, motivations and integral training because it must be considered that imitation is a learning mechanism, they tend to copy models of violent characters; That is why it is necessary for Ecuadorian television to be reformed and to fulfill the function for what was created, "inform, entertain and educate". It is essential that parents or adults instruct the child every time they are exposed to violent television programs, creating awareness and instilling in them positive learning so that they learn to distinguish good from bad.es_ES
