Methodological strategies contribute positively in the use of academic resources, comprising a series of procedures that educators use with the purpose of improving the teaching and learning process. These should be chosen and used in an organized manner, facilitating the acquisition of comprehension skills and the creation of meaningful learning. Therefore, the present study has as its main objective to determine the contribution of methodological strategies in academic resources in third year EGB students of the Emigdio Esparza Moreno Educational Unit, Babahoyo, 2022 - 2023. The case study methodology uses quantitative and qualitative approaches, through data collection with instruments such as the survey and observation. The population with which we worked are 112 students and 4 teachers of the Emigdio Esparza Moreno Educational Unit and the selected sample is only the 29 students of the third year of EGB, parallel "B" and the 4 teachers of the same school level. The results obtained showed the lack of strategic skills in methodology on the part of the teachers when teaching their classes, in addition to the inadequate use of academic resources. These aspects have a negative impact on the teaching and learning process of students, which hinders the construction of solid foundations that are beneficial for their school and daily life. That is why it is important for the educator to be aware of the importance, benefits and characteristics that these two variables have so that they can efficiently address the formative process of students.es_ES
