The use of motivational strategies significantly favors the learning process; since, through it, a deeper and more constructive didactic transposition is achieved, depending on the needs and interests of the student. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to determine how motivational strategies influence learning in the area of mathematics in the 4th year EGB students of the León Febres Cordero Educational Unit, Puebloviejo, 2022. The methodology of this case study has a quantitative approach, because quantitative techniques are used to obtain relevant data; while the types of research were descriptive, field and documentary. It is important to mention that two investigative techniques were used to obtain information relevant to the research topic; a direct observation, addressed to 39 students of the level of education described and 1 teacher who teaches the subject of Mathematics, an interview directed to the mentioned teacher was also used. The results obtained were that the teacher does not adequately apply motivational strategies for the development of learning within mathematics classes; which considerably influences the learning process of the 4th year students; since it was shown that the teacher rarely uses activities that motivate the student to learn significantly; therefore, it is concluded that motivational strategies have a considerable influence on the learning of the mathematics subject; since, they arouse the interest and motivation of the student and encourage him to self-reflect on his own learning.es_ES
