dc.descriptionThis case study was carried out in the EU Emigdio Esparza Moreno with the aim of analyzing the impact of sociocultural and pedagogical factors on the academic performance of 4th year EGB students. The applied methodology was made up of a mixed approach, the types of descriptive, field and documentary research, the techniques are interview and observation sheet accompanied by their respective instruments, which were addressed to 35 students and 2 teachers from parallel B. The The results obtained were: in the subject of Language and Literature, 48% of the students obtained a regular grade corresponding to 7 and 3% obtained an insufficient grade (6); in Mathematics, 9% performed poorly, representing a grade of 6; the social and pedagogical factors that influence academic performance are: family environment, school environment, low economic level, weak parental support. In conclusion, the most significant factors that affect school performance are the parents' lack of interest in school work and the economic level and the level of academic performance of the students is medium-high because most of the grades are between 7-10.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente caso de estudio se realizó en la UE Emigdio Esparza Moreno con el objetivo de analizar el impacto de los factores socio culturales y pedagógicos en el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes de 4to año de EGB. La metodología aplicada estuvo conformada por un enfoque mixto, los tipos de investigación descriptiva, de campo y documental, las técnicas son entrevista y ficha de observación acompañada de sus respectivos instrumentos, los cuales fueron dirigidos a 35 estudiantes y 2 docentes del paralelo B. Los resultados obtenidos fueron: en la asignatura de Lengua y Literatura el 48% de los estudiantes tuvieron una calificación regular que corresponde a 7 y un 3% obtuvo una nota insuficiente (6); en Matemáticas el 9% tuvo un desempeño de insuficientes que representa una nota de 6; los factores sociales y pedagógicos que influyen en el rendimiento académico son: entorno familiar, ambiente escolar, nivel económico bajo, débil acompañamiento de los padres. En conclusión, los factores más significativos que afectan el rendimiento escolar son desinterés de los padres en las tareas escolares y nivel económico y el nivel de rendimiento académico de los estudiantes es medio-alto debido a que la mayoría de las calificaciones se encuentran entre 7-10.es_ES
