dc.descriptionAt present, values and principles are fundamental elements for life in society that are less and less important, because education in the family is not adequate and the teacher's guide is not effective, since it focuses its activities on the transfer of knowledge and not in the integral student formation of the student. For this reason, the objective of this research is to determine the influence that the practice of values has on the academic performance of students in the 5th year of Basic General Education of the Rosa Chávez Sellan Educational Unit. For which a methodological framework consisting of a mixed approach was applied; that is, qualitative-quantitative, the types of research were: descriptive, documentary and field; while the methods applied are empirical and inductive, both supported by survey techniques and interviews, aimed at 5th grade students and the teacher in charge. The results of the investigation reveal the absence of pedagogical methodologies that promote the practice of values and that positively influence academic performance, it was also determined that behavioral problems are generated by family and social factors outside the educational context, while that another of the results determined that both parents and teachers do not promote the practice of values continuously.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEn la actualidad, los valores y principios son elementos fundamentales para la vida en sociedad que cada vez tienen menos importancia, debido a que la educación en la familia no es la adecuada y la guía del docente no es efectiva en virtud que centra sus actividades en el traspaso del conocimiento y no en la formación estudiantil integral del educando. Por tal motivo, el objetivo de la presente investigación consiste en determinar la influencia que posee la práctica de valores en el rendimiento académicos de los estudiantes de 5to año de Educación General Básica de la Unidad Educativa Rosa Chávez Sellan. Para lo cual se aplicó un marco metodológico conformado por un enfoque mixto; es decir, cuali-cuantitativo, los tipos de investigación fueron: descriptivo, documental y de campo; mientras que los métodos aplicados son el empírico e inductivo, ambos apoyados con las técnicas de la encuesta y entrevistas, dirigida a los educandos del 5to año y docente encargado. Los resultados de la investigación revelan la ausencia de metodologías pedagógicas que promuevan la práctica de valores y que aquello influya de forma positiva en el rendimiento académico, también se determinó que los problemas de conducta se generan por factores familiares y sociales ajenos al contexto educativo, mientras que otro de los resultados determinó que tanto los padres como docentes no promueven la práctica de valores de manera continua.es_ES
