dc.descriptionNowadays, emotional education is a key factor in the educational field, because through it, skills are developed that are essential to manage emotions, resolve conflicts and, above all, to maintain an emotional balance in the learning relationship. However, at the “Gabriel García Moreno” School there is the lack of emotional education in sixth-year basic education students. This is why, this research explores how emotional education affects the academic performance of students. Emotional education is fundamental in any educational process, because it contributes to the creation of a more positive classroom environment, where students feel more secure and motivated to learn. In addition, it offers tools to improve their psychological well-being, reduces stress and also for appropriate emotional management. On the other hand, in order to know the level of emotional intelligence on the students, an emotional test carried out on 51 sixth-grade students and as a result, it got that the 76% of students have trouble controlling themselves when they get angry. Affecting their personal well-being and their academic performance. Also, an interview conducted to the institution's principal and to tutor teachers, to analyze in depth these factors that directly affect academic performance. Therefore, it is concluded that the integration of emotional education in the academic curriculum is a key factor to improve academic performance and promote comprehensive development in students.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEn la actualidad, la educación emocional es un factor clave en el ámbito educativo, porque mediante ésta, se desarrollan habilidades que son esenciales para gestionar emociones, resolver conflictos y sobre todo para mantener un equilibrio emocional en relación de aprendizaje. Sin embargo, en la Unidad Educativa “Gabriel García Moreno” existe la carencia de educación emocional en estudiantes de sexto año de educación básica. Es por eso, que este trabajo de investigación explora cómo la educación emocional incide en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. Puesto que, la educación emocional es fundamental en todo proceso educativo, porque contribuye a la creación de un ambiente de aula más positivo, donde los estudiantes se sienten más seguros y motivados para aprender. Además, ofrece herramientas para mejorar su bienestar psicológico, reducir el estrés y también para un adecuado manejo emocional. Por otra parte, con la finalidad de conocer el nivel de inteligencia emocional que poseen los estudiantes, se realizó un test emocional a 51 estudiantes de sexto año y como resultado se obtuvo que el 76% de los estudiantes tienen problemas para controlarse cuando se enojan. Afectando su bienestar personal y su rendimiento académico. Asimismo, se realizó una entrevista al rector de la institución y a docentes tutores, para analizar a profundidad sobre estos factores que inciden directamente en el desempeño escolar. Por tanto, se concluye que la integración de la educación emocional en el currículo académico es un factor clave para mejorar el rendimiento académico y promover el desarrollo integral en los estudiantes.es_ES
