dc.description | Gamification is nothing more than a learning tool that seeks to adequately transfer the mechanics of computer games to the academic environment, by taking advantage of the innate characteristics of this type of resource to improve the learning processes of students. The current educational context faces a significant challenge in the search for methods that promote effective and meaningful learning among students. During the time we conducted our pre-professional practices in the educational unit “Ecuador” in the parish of La Union, located in the rural area of Babahoyo, it was observed that the classroom environment presents a lack of knowledge of the use of technological tools such as gamification that influence the educational process. Therefore, this research process is focused on determining the impact of methodological strategies based on gamification in the teaching-learning process of middle school students in the Educational Unit “Ecuador” of the parish of La Union. It should be mentioned that this research not only has academic relevance by addressing a contemporary issue in education, but also has significant practical implications to improve the educational process in specific contexts. This research work will be carried out with a quantitative methodological approach to objectively measure the impact of gamification strategies in the teaching-learning process of middle school students of the “Ecuador” Educational Unit of the parish of La Unión. The present work is framed in a descriptive research, in addition to a correlational scope, since it seeks to identify and analyze the relationship between two or more variables, in this case, the methodological strategies based on gamification and the teaching-learning process. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | La gamificación no es más que una herramienta de aprendizaje que procura trasladar de forma adecuada la mecánica de los juegos de computador al ámbito académico, mediante el aprovechamiento de las características innatas de este tipo de recurso mejorar los procesos de aprendizaje de los estudiantes. El contexto educativo actual, enfrenta un desafío significativo en la búsqueda de métodos que fomenten un aprendizaje efectivo y significativo entre los estudiantes. Durante el tiempo que se realizaron las prácticas preprofesionales en la unidad educativa “Ecuador” de la parroquia La Unión, ubicada en la zona rural del cantón Babahoyo, se observó que dicho entorno áulico presenta un desconocimiento del uso de herramientas tecnológicas como la gamificación que influyen en el proceso educativo. Por lo cual, este proceso investigativo se centró en Determinar el impacto de las estrategias metodológicas basadas en la gamificación en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de los estudiantes de básica media en la Unidad Educativa “Ecuador” de la parroquia La Unión. Se debe mencionar que esta investigación no solo tuvo relevancia académica al abordar un tema contemporáneo en educación, sino que también tuvo implicaciones prácticas significativas para mejorar el proceso educativo en contextos específicos. Este trabajo investigativo se efectuó con un enfoque metodológico cuantitativo permitiendo medir de manera objetiva el impacto de las estrategias de gamificación en el proceso de enseñanza – aprendizaje de los estudiantes de la básica media de la Unidad Educativa “Ecuador” de la parroquia La Unión. El presente trabajo se enmarcó en una investigación descriptiva, además de un alcance correlacional, puesto que buscó identificar y analizar la relación entre dos o más variables, en este caso, las estrategias metodológicas basadas en la gamificación y el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. | es_ES |
