Microcurricular adaptations involve adjustments and modifications that teachers make to the lesson plan to address specific needs of students, such as learning difficulties, behavioral issues, or neurodevelopmental disorders like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Therefore, this project aims to determine the impact of microcurricular adaptations on the academic performance of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder at Juan E. Verdesoto Basic Education School in Babahoyo, during the period 2023-2024. The methodology employed in this study follows a mixed approach, with descriptive and field research involving a sample of 5 teachers and 7 students with autism from the mentioned educational institution. Data collection techniques include observation, carried out using an observation form for autistic students, as well as a survey, conducted with a 10-question questionnaire, targeting teachers who teach students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In conclusion, by adapting the lesson plan to meet the needs of each student, a learning environment is fostered where everyone can actively participate and improve their performance. These adaptations contribute to strengthening the educational process and promoting inclusive education for all.es_ES
