dc.descriptionThe methodological strategies in the second-grade children of the “Juan E. Verdezoto” Basic Education school in the city of Babahoyo, Los Ríos province, are necessary to increase cognitive skills, allowing them to acquire important knowledge learning, also helps to reveal the deficiencies that teachers commit in the application of theoretical foundations. The objective of this case study was to examine the results of the development of cognitive skills in second-grade children of said institution, therefore, didactic methods were used, encompassing descriptive research with a type of exploratory design, since The influence that methodological strategies will have on the development of cognitive abilities in children was analyzed. The research was carried out with the collaboration of the children and the teacher of the indicated educational institution. A field investigation was carried out, through observation at the time when the pre-professional practices were carried out, so it could be evidenced that educators do not use the appropriate methodological strategies so that children do not have the correct participation and therefore this does not arouse interest in learning. The results obtained through the interviews and observation indicated that the teacher in charge of the second grade children must obtain didactic training in the knowledge of new methodological strategies that influence the development of cognitive skills in the children of the second grade second grade.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLas estrategias metodológicas en los niños de segundo grado de la escuela de Educación Básica “Juan E. Verdezoto” de la ciudad de Babahoyo, provincia de Los Ríos, son necesarias para el incremento de las habilidades cognitivas, por lo que les permite adquirir importantes conocimientos de aprendizaje, además ayuda a revelar las deficiencias que los docentes cometen en la aplicación de los fundamentos teóricos. Este estudio de caso tuvo como objetivo, examinar los resultados que tiene el desarrollo de habilidades cognitivas en los niños de segundo grado de dicha institución, por lo tanto, se utilizaron métodos didácticos, abarcando la investigación descriptiva con un tipo de diseño exploratorio, ya que se analizó la influencia que tendrán las estrategias metodológicas en el desarrollo de las habilidades cognitivas en los niños. La investigación se realizó con la colaboración de los niños y la maestra de la institución educativa señalada. Se efectuó una investigación de campo, mediante la observación en el momento cuando se realizó las prácticas pre-profesionales, por lo que, se pudo evidenciar que los educadores no emplean las apropiadas estrategias metodológicas de modo que los niños no tienen la participación acertada y por esto no despiertan el interés en el aprendizaje. Los resultados que se obtuvieron a través de las entrevistas y de la observación indicaron que la docente a cargo de los niños de segundo grado debe obtener una capacitación didáctica en el conocimiento de nuevas estrategias metodológicas que influencien en el desarrollo de habilidades cognitivas en los niños de segundo grado.es_ES
