dc.descriptionIn the current educational context, the acquisition of literacy skills plays a fundamental role in students' academic performance and personal development. However, a significant number of second-year elementary school boys and girls with difficulties in this competence have been observed, posing a problem that affects their ability to comprehend texts and express themselves in writing. To address this issue, we are based on the objective of determining the impact of literacy on the academic performance of second-year elementary school boys and girls at Juan E. Verdezoto School in Babahoyo Canton. This study falls within the research line of Educational Models. This study holds significant relevance as it aims not only to comprehend the extent of the problem but also to propose effective pedagogical solutions that can be implemented both in the classroom and at home. The methodology is based on a mixed approach that combines qualitative and quantitative elements. A survey and interviews will be conducted to gain a better understanding of the topic and its difficulties. In conclusion, the aim is to address literacy issues and their impact on the academic performance of second-year students, with the purpose of providing specific recommendations that benefit both teachers and parents and contribute to the comprehensive development of students in the educational and social spheres.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEn el contexto educativo actual, la adquisición de habilidades en la lectoescritura desempeña un papel fundamental en el rendimiento académico y el desarrollo personal de los estudiantes. Sin embargo, se ha observado un número significativo de niños y niñas de segundo año de educación básica con dificultades en esta competencia, lo que plantea un problema que afecta su capacidad para comprender textos y expresarse por escrito. Para abordar esta problemática, nos basamos en el objetivo de determinar la incidencia de la lectoescritura en el rendimiento escolar de los niños y niñas de segundo año de Educación Básica de la escuela Juan E. Verdesoto del cantón Babahoyo. Este estudio se enmarca en la línea de investigación de Modelo educativo. Este estudio tiene una relevancia significativa, ya que busca no solo comprender la magnitud del problema, sino también proponer soluciones pedagógicas efectivas que puedan ser implementadas tanto en el aula como en el hogar. La metodología se basa en un enfoque mixto que combina elementos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Se aplicará una encuesta y entrevista que permitirá tener una mejor visión con el tema y dificultades. En conclusión, se busca abordar la problemática de la lectoescritura y su impacto en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de segundo año, con la finalidad de ofrecer recomendaciones concretas que beneficien tanto a los docentes como a los padres de familia, y que contribuyan al desarrollo integral de los estudiantes en el ámbito educativo y social.es_ES
