The case study is carried out in the Isidro Ayora Educational Unit of the Ventanas canton with the objective of establishing the influence of microlearning on the learning process in 5th year EGB students. The methodology used was based on a non-experimental design, quantitative approach and field, documentary and descriptive research; in addition to the survey technique and a questionnaire of 10 questions addressed to a sample of 50 students. The results were that: the majority of the fifth year EGB students of the educational unit believe that technology rarely promotes learning and the teacher frequently uses multimedia resources such as short educational videos, posters or audiovisual material with small educational content. Teachers rarely adequately master digital resources and tools when using them in classes. 72% of students believe that the use of multimedia resources rarely helps to retain information better. In conclusion, microlearning is an effective learning strategy that focuses on the delivery of educational content in small doses, generally of short duration, to facilitate the assimilation and retention of information efficiently. Microlearning is characterized by offering short, focused content, accessible on mobile devices, encouraging interaction and personalization of learning. This methodology stands out for its flexibility and ability to adapt to the individual needs of students.es_ES
