The learning process is essential since it helps learners develop knowledge, skills, behaviors and values that are essential to have a quality education. Therefore, the full support of education professionals and parents is needed to have a quality process; however, there is still an absence of efficient pedagogical practices and commitment of parents or educators in the student learning process and that avoid the presence of school dropout. Reason for which the objective of this case study is to determine the incidence of the learning process in the school dropout of 3rd year EGB students of the Emigdio Esparza Moreno Educational Unit. The methodology used was documentary, descriptive and field research, the methods applied were inductive and deductive. The techniques applied in the study consisted of: direct observation and interview, to identify important situations regarding the possible reasons for dropping out of school. The sample of the case study was determined by means of a non-probabilistic sampling, with the units of analysis being 40 students and two teachers of the institution. The results allowed us to conclude that school dropout is derived from the influence of three factors, which are: the role of the parents, the teacher's guide and the student's disinterest, and integration strategies are not promoted among classmates that make the student feel better. feel comfortable in the educational environment and want to attend classes, thus avoiding school dropout.es_ES
