The Technical University of Babahoyo is the only third-level institution in the province of Los Ríos to offer the Communication degree. Due to this, the implementation of a digital radio program in the Communication major would represent a benefit, both for the students of this major, because it would help them strengthen and reinforce their theoretical knowledge, and for the university itself, by having the opportunity to expose themselves to the community. In this research, the mixed approach was used by merging interviews with teachers and surveys with students, with this the possibilities that the UTB has of implementing a digital radio program in the Communication major were analyzed and cases from other universities in the country were compared, in order to delve deeper into what a university radio implies.es_ES
