dc.descriptionSociocultural factors consist of processes associated with social and cultural components of a community or society. These last elements are rooted in a specific community and can be accepted or recognized by the people who make it up. The objective of this research is to evaluate the impact of Socio-Cultural factors on the Academic performance of 2nd year students of Basic General Education of the Simón Bolívar Millennium Educational Unit, Babahoyo canton, Pimocha parish, period 2024-2025. The methodology used was a non-experimental design and a mixed approach. The types of research were documentary, descriptive and field. For its part, the investigative techniques were: find parents, interview with teacher and observation sheet, so the following instruments were required: survey questionnaire, interview and observation sheet. The population was made up of all the children who are part of the second year of basic education of the Simón Bolívar Millennium Educational Unit, which according to reports from the institution are 34 infants. The results allowed us to conclude that: The main socio-cultural factors that affect the academic performance of the 2nd year students of basic general education of the Simón Bolívar Millennium Educational Unit, Babahoyo canton, Pimocha parish, period 2024-2025, are: the situation family economic, parental support in the educational process and residence of children.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLos factores socio culturales consisten en procesos asociados a componentes sociales y culturales de una comunidad o sociedad. Estos últimos elementos se encuentran arraigados en una colectividad específica y pueden ser aceptados o reconocidos por las personas que la conforman. El objetivo de la presente investigación es evaluar el impacto de los factores Socio Culturales en el rendimiento Académico de los estudiantes de 2do año de Educación General Básica de la Unidad Educativa del Milenio Simón Bolívar, cantón Babahoyo, parroquia Pimocha, periodo 2024-2025.La metodología utilizada se trató de un diseño no experimental y de enfoque mixto. Los tipos de investigación fueron documental, descriptiva y de campo. Po su lado, las técnicas investigativas fueron: encuentra a padres de familia, entrevista a docente y ficha de observación, por lo que se requirió de los siguientes instrumentos: cuestionario de encuesta, entrevista y ficha de observación. La población estuvo conformada por todos los niños que forman parte del segundo año de educación básica de la Unidad Educativa del Milenio Simón Bolívar, los cuales según reportes de la institución son 34 infantes. Los resultados permitieron concluir que: Los principales factores socio culturales que afectan el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de 2do año de educación general básica de la Unidad Educativa del Milenio Simón Bolívar, cantón Babahoyo, parroquia Pimocha, periodo 2024-2025, son: la situación económica familiar, acompañamiento de los padres en el proceso educativo y residencia de los niñoses_ES
