dc.descriptionThis research focuses on exploring the ethics of digital journalism, specifically the use of Live Streaming as a tool for journalistic coverage in the Babahoyo canton. This technological advancement enables real-time transmission of events to a global audience, radically transforming journalistic practice. However, it faces significant ethical challenges, such as the spread of unverified information, intrusions into privacy, distortions of reality, and the generation of biased content. The study aims to analyze the advantages of an ethical practice in the use of Live Streaming in local journalism, investigating how journalists address ethical dilemmas, adapt traditional norms to the digital context and apply practices to guarantee the quality and veracity of the information transmitted. Through the analysis of local journalistic practices, interviews with professionals in the sector and review of current ethical regulations, it seeks to provide a comprehensive vision of the ethics of Live Streaming in Babahoyo, identifying challenges and opportunities for responsible journalistic practice. The results seek to promote the development of robust digital ethics, promoting responsibility, transparency and veracity in the information disseminated through Live Streaming, as well as the quality of information and the protection of privacy.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo investigativo se enfoca en explorar la ética del periodismo digital, específicamente el uso del Live Streaming como herramienta para la cobertura periodística en el cantón Babahoyo. Este avance tecnológico permite la transmisión en tiempo real de eventos a una audiencia global, transformando radicalmente la práctica periodística. Sin embargo, enfrenta desafíos éticos significativos, como la propagación de información no verificada, intrusiones en la privacidad, distorsiones de la realidad y la generación de contenido sesgado. El estudio tiene como objetivo analizar las ventajas de una práctica ética en el uso del Live Streaming en el periodismo local, investigando cómo los periodistas abordan dilemas éticos, adaptan normas tradicionales al contexto digital y aplican prácticas para garantizar la calidad y veracidad de la información transmitida. A través del análisis de prácticas periodísticas locales, entrevistas con profesionales del sector y revisión de normativas éticas vigentes, se busca proporcionar una visión integral sobre la ética del Live Streaming en Babahoyo, identificando desafíos y oportunidades para una práctica periodística responsable. Los resultados buscan fomentar el desarrollo de una ética digital robusta, promoviendo la responsabilidad, transparencia y veracidad en la información difundida mediante Live Streaming, así como la calidad informativa y la protección de la privacidad.es_ES
