This investigative work is contextualized as a crucial topic in the global virtual sphere, giving rise to a technological evolution. In the Ecuadorian panorama, the incursion of social networks has been a determining factor in the increase in the youth audience in radio stations because the transition to digital platforms, such as online radio, represents a bold advance in the delivery of radio content. In Babahoyo, the integration of these social platforms in the radio field has proven to be a significant link between the stations and their audience. With the above, this research focuses its purpose on analyzing the impact of social networks on the increase in the youth radio audience of Babahoyo in the year 2023, through a mixed approach: qualitative and quantitative, using inductive and quantitative methodology. deductive. This academic work is of interest and represents great importance in the field of research due to the need to understand how digital platforms impact radio consumption choices and youth interaction, in addition to contributing significantly to radio stations with information detailed and applicable to face the challenge of competing with other forms of digital entertainment and thus strengthen your connection with the public.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLas redes sociales han revolucionado las formas en que los jóvenes acceden a los medios de comunicación, la radio, no ha sido ajena a la convergencia entre lo tradicional y digital, adaptándose a lo que las nuevas tecnologías y públicos requieren. Este trabajo investigativo se contextualiza como un tema crucial en el ámbito virtual a nivel global, dando lugar a una evolución tecnológica. En el panorama ecuatoriano, la incursión de las redes sociales ha sido un factor determinante en el incremento de la audiencia juvenil en las emisoras porque la transición hacia plataformas digitales, como las radios en línea, representa un avance audaz en la entrega de contenidos radiofónicos. En Babahoyo, la integración de estas plataformas sociales en este ámbito ha demostrado ser un vínculo significativo entre las emisoras y su audiencia. Con lo expuesto, esta investigación centra su razón de ser en analizar la incidencia de las redes sociales en el incremento de la audiencia radiofónica juvenil de Babahoyo en el año 2023, a través de un enfoque mixto: cualitativo y cuantitativo, mediante la metodología inductiva y deductiva. Este trabajo académico, es de interés y representa gran importancia en el ámbito de la investigación debido a la necesidad de entender cómo las plataformas digitales impactan en las elecciones de consumo radiofónico e interacción juvenil, además, de contribuir significativamente a las emisoras de radio con información detallada y aplicable para enfrentarse a el desafío de competir con otras formas de entretenimiento digital y así fortalecer su conexión con el público.es_ES
