dc.descriptionThe present study of Social Networks is due to the fact that, at present, these digital sites are an integral part of the lives of young people and university students, and their use has spread in many areas, including the educational field. In this context, the present investigation aims to determine the incidence of social networks in the educational processes of students of the Pedagogy of Experimental Computer Sciences career, evening section of the Technical University of Babahoyo, in the period of December 2022. - April 2023. For this, a questionnaire was applied to 173 students using a descriptive and quantitative methodology. The results of the survey show that there are diverse opinions about the use of social networks as a teaching tool, which indicates the need for adequate training for its effective and responsible use. In particular, some students are convinced that they have used the mentioned social networks as educational tools, while others are not interested in the topic or disagree with the question. Additionally, the use of Facebook and YouTube as educational tools received mixed responses. It is important to take these varied opinions into account to establish clear strategies that involve all students in the use of these tools and to provide the necessary training to students so that they can use social networks effectively and responsibly in their academic training. Given that social networks also function as entertainment and entertainment sites, it is therefore necessary that they be used in the most appropriate way possible so that they are beneficial in the educational activities proposed by teachers.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio de las Redes Sociales se debe a que, en la actualidad, esto sitios digitales son una parte integral de la vida de los jóvenes y estudiantes universitarios, y su uso se ha extendido en muchos ámbitos, incluyendo el ámbito educativo. En este contexto, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la incidencia de las redes sociales en los procesos educativos de los estudiantes de la carrera de Pedagogía de las Ciencias Experimentales Informática, sección vespertina de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo, en el período diciembre 2022 - abril 2023. Para ello, se aplicó un cuestionario a 173 estudiantes utilizando una metodología descriptiva y cuantitativa. Los resultados de la encuesta muestran que existen opiniones diversas sobre el uso de las redes sociales como herramienta de enseñanza, lo que indica la necesidad de una formación adecuada para su uso efectivo y responsable. En particular, algunos estudiantes están convencidos de haber utilizado las redes sociales mencionadas como herramientas educativas, mientras que otros no están interesados en el tema o están en desacuerdo con la pregunta. Además, el uso de Facebook y YouTube como herramientas educativas recibió respuestas mixtas. Es importante tomar en cuenta estas variadas opiniones para establecer estrategias claras que involucren a todos los estudiantes en el uso de estas herramientas y para brindar la capacitación necesaria a los estudiantes para que puedan utilizar las redes sociales de manera efectiva y responsable en su formación académica, dado que las redes sociales también funcionan como sitios de ocio y diversión, por lo que es necesario que se use de la manera más adecuada posible para que sea un beneficio en las actividades educativas propuestas por los docentes.es_ES
