| dc.description | The research proposed on the Promotion of reading and academic performance in the students of the Educational Unit "Arnulfo Chávez Miranda" of the Quevedo Canton province Los Ríos during the 2019-2020 school period, is necessary, since we currently have to encourage reading habits in each of the students. The need to identify whether the promotion of reading and academic performance are related to each other, makes us investigate different positions of different authors on the problem or object of study, which will allow us to develop a collaborative work among teachers, parents family and students in general, to develop reading activities both in the educational institution, as in your home and be the only managers of their own learning by providing the spaces and resources they need to build what they need to know. Reading is an obvious tool that allows us to develop our intelligence, be creative and transport ourselves to fantastic worlds. For this reason, if appropriate methodological strategies are used, we will be contributing to the progress and improvement of our students. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La investigación planteada sobre el Fomento a la lectura y el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes de la Unidad Educativa “Arnulfo Chávez Miranda” del Cantón Quevedo provincia Los Ríos durante el periodo lectivo 2019-2020 , resulta necesaria, ya que en la actualidad tenemos que incentivar el hábitos por la lectura en cada uno de los estudiantes. La necesidad de identificar si el fomento a la lectura y el rendimiento académico tienen relación entre sí , nos hace investigar diferentes posturas de distintos autores sobre el problema u objeto de estudio, lo que nos permitirá desarrollar un trabajo colaborativo entre los Docentes, padres/madres de familia y estudiantes en general, para que desarrollen las actividades de lectura tanto en la institución educativa, como en su hogar y que sean los únicos gestores de su propio aprendizaje al facilitarles los espacios y recursos que necesitan para construir lo que necesitan saber. La lectura es una evidente herramienta que permite desarrollar nuestra inteligencia, ser creativos y transportarnos a mundos fantásticos, por ésta razón si se usa las estrategias metodológicas apropiadas estaremos coadyuvando al progreso y superación de nuestros estudiantes. | es_ES |
