Due to the nature of its research, it was based on qualitative research, using the bibliographic research technique and a deep search for information from scientific articles, projects, theses and repositories to develop the two variables that form the theoretical framework and as an instrument. dc.description.abstractLa enseñanza activa es una metodología basada principalmente en el alumno donde su enfoque está más dirigido hacia el constructivismo mediante la cooperación, los debates, las argumentaciones y procesos de evaluación permanente para constatar las debilidades y fortalezas que se presenta con un rol activo de parte del niño dejando a un lado la idea obsoleta de que al enseñar algo el estudiante debe ser pasivo y solo escuchar , obteniendo un mayor compromiso de los estudiantes y una comprensión más profunda de los conceptos. La metodología de enseñanza activa ABP tiene una influencia positiva en los estudiantes al cambiar totalmente la perspectiva que se tiene sobre el proceso de aprender donde por lo general se lo asocia con jornadas monótonas y aburridas que solo buscan cumplir con las planificaciones establecidas, por lo tanto el presente trabajo de investigación denominado Metodología de enseñanza activa y su influencia en el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes de 5to año de EGB de la Unidad Educativa Adolfo María Astudillo de la ciudad de Babahoyo tiene como objetivo general determinar la influencia de la metodología de enseñanza activa en el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes de 5to año de EGB de la Unidad Educativa Adolfo María Astudillo de la ciudad de Babahoyo. Debido a la naturaleza de su investigación se basó en una investigación cualitativa, usando la técnica de investigación bibliográfica y una búsqueda profunda de información a partir de artículos científicos, proyectos, tesis y repositorios para desarrollar las dos variables que forman el marco teórico y como instrumento se usó la entrevista para recolectar información necesaria relacionada con los objetivos establecidos.es_ES
