The present research project was developed with the purpose of specifying the incidence of family factors on academic performance by reflecting from EU Adolfo María Astudillo students, Babahoyo, 2021. A study of research is proposed Application - Mixed (qualitative and quantitative)- Descriptive causal cross-sectional no experimental design, the survey technique was applied, where it was evidenced that family factors have great influence in the PEA in the educational field, because it was found that students with low academic performance, students who did not actively participate in the development of the classes, failure to perform tasks that are sometimes related to the educational level of the parents, because if it is low, student learning will be affected, inaccessibility to electronic devices and the Internet for the search of information are part of the disadvantages within the socio-economic factor that most affects families, therefore, there are dysfunctional families in which the parents must work because they are the family lifeline, this prevents the necessary pedagogical accompaniment to the students, it was evident that the norms of coexistence are indispensable in the education, because an appropriate environment is needed to achieve meaningful learning that meets the goals of today’s education.. Therefore, it is concluded that family factors significantly influence the academic performance of students, because this depends on both success and failure in school.es_ES
