The teacher in charge of the Natural Sciences course has the duty and responsibility to choose the technique to be used when teaching a given subject, which implies that the different cognitive instruments used by teachers to facilitate learning depend mostly on motivational and normative factors. Therefore, the general objective of this documentary research is to determine the importance of learning strategies and their influence on the academic performance in the area of Natural Sciences in third year students of the Tarquino Idrovo School of Basic Education in Babahoyo Canton, Los Ríos Province.es_ES
