Music exerts a notable influence on the development of gross motor skills in children, through rhythms and melodies it encourages body movement, improving motor skills such as balance, coordination and spatial awareness, which contributes positively to the comprehensive development of children. The problem that was evident in the students of Initial II is that the children have problems with coordination and balance, which makes it difficult for them to function normally in the classroom, so it is proposed to determine the influence of music on gross motor skills in the children of initial education II at the Adolfo Maria Astudillo Educational Unit. Using a type of descriptive research with a mixed approach, a non-experimental design applying deductive and inductive methods with documentary and field research. Also as a sample, 30 children, 1 teacher, and 30 parents will be taken in a non-probabilistic manner, where the survey and observation technique will be used as an instrument, a questionnaire and an observation sheet. Based on the result through an observation sheet applied to the children and the survey that was conducted with parents and teachers, it was found that the children have a high level of locomotion, coordination and balance. In conclusion, the use of children's music as a teaching resource obtained positive results in the development of gross motor skills. Therefore, it is recommended to prioritize the strengthening of gross motor skills in children during their first years of life.es_ES
