dc.descriptionGamification is a strategy that consists of the application of game elements and mechanics in gaming contexts, such as education, it is used to make the learning process more attractive and motivating, involving students in a playful way and providing a system of rewards that reinforce positive behaviors. The study aims to determine the impact of gamification on the cognitive development of children in initial education II of the "Gabriel García Moreno" Educational Unit in the Urdaneta Canton, Los Ríos. It is evident that students present cognitive deficiencies, generating concern among parents due to the perception of lack of comprehensive training in teachers. Children show difficulties in problem solving, teaching retention, and disinterest in learning. Given this problem, the need arises to evaluate and improve teaching to enhance cognitive development, crucial for attention, language and learning. Gamification emerges as an innovative technique, although its application is limited in fiscal establishments like this one. The study will use a mixed approach and documentary and field methods, involving children, teachers and parents. It is anticipated that the results will reveal the impact of gamification on cognitive development, providing valuable information to improve educational quality. The conclusions could highlight the effectiveness of gamification as a tool to stimulate cognitive skills in early education, highlighting the need for its implementation in educational environments such as the one mentioned.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa gamificación es una estrategia que consiste en la aplicación de elementos y mecánicas de juegos en contextos lúdicos, como la educación, se utiliza para hacer más atractivo y motivador el proceso de aprendizaje, involucrando a los estudiantes de manera lúdica y proporcionando un sistema de recompensas que refuerce conductas positivas. El estudio tiene como objetivo determinar el impacto de la gamificación en el desarrollo cognitivo de niños en educación inicial II de la Unidad Educativa "Gabriel García Moreno" en el Cantón Urdaneta, Los Ríos. Se evidencia que los alumnos presentan deficiencias cognitivas, generando preocupación entre los padres por la percepción de falta de formación integral en los docentes. Los niños muestran dificultades en resolución de problemas, retención de enseñanza y desinterés por aprender. Ante esta problemática, se plantea la necesidad de evaluar y mejorar la enseñanza para potenciar el desarrollo cognitivo, crucial para atención, lenguaje y aprendizaje. Surge la gamificación como técnica innovadora, aunque su aplicación es limitada en planteles fiscales como este. El estudio empleó un enfoque mixto y métodos documentales y de campo, involucrando a niños, docentes y padres de familia. Los resultados revelaron el impacto de la gamificación en el desarrollo cognitivo, proporcionando información valiosa para mejorar la calidad educativa. Las conclusiones destacan la eficacia de la gamificación como herramienta para estimular habilidades cognitivas en la educación inicial, resaltando la necesidad de su implementación en entornos educativos como el mencionado.es_ES
