dc.descriptionICTs are a set of technological tools that have transformed the way people connect, communicate and access information in the digital age. At the initial level, the use of technology is very important, because it allows improving the educational experience of children and enhancing their knowledge and skills, which is why the objective of the research was to determine the impact of ICTs on cognitive development. of the children of sublevel II of the “Gabriela Mistral” Educational Unit. With a non-experimental design, qualitative approach and descriptive nature, the methods used were: analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive. It was shown that teachers ignore the value of using ICTs by not training in the use of ICTs. On the other hand, the cognitive development of children is acceptable, the majority are creative, identify problems in the development of educational activities and have good short and long term memory; likewise, there is a significant segment of children who have difficulties in the aspects described. Findings were obtained that allowed us to correlate the use of ICTs with the cognitive development of children, because the use of information and communication technologies promotes concentration, creativity and problem solving, fundamental aspects of the cognitive dimension.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLas TICs son un conjunto de herramientas tecnológicas que han transformado la forma en que las personas se conectan, comunican y acceden a la información en la era digital. En el nivel inicial el empleo de la tecnología es muy importante, porque permite mejorar la experiencia educativa de los niños y potenciar sus conocimientos y habilidades, motivo por el cual, el objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la incidencia de las TICs en el desarrollo cognitivo de los niños del subnivel II de la Unidad Educativa “Gabriela Mistral”. Con un diseño no experimental, enfoque cualitativo y carácter descriptivo, los métodos empleados fueron: analítico-sintético, inductivo-deductivo. Se demostró que los docentes soslayan el valor que posee el uso de las Tics, por no capacitarse en el uso de las Tics. Por otra parte, el desarrollo cognitivo de los niños es aceptable, la mayoría son creativos, identifican problemas en el desarrollo de actividades educativas y cuentan con una buena memoria a corto y largo plazo; de igual manera, existe un segmento importante de niños que presentan dificultades en los aspectos descritos. Se obtuvo hallazgos que permitieron correlacionar el uso de las Tics con el desarrollo cognitivo de los niños, debido a que la utilización de las tecnologías de información y de la comunicación fomentan la concentración, creatividad y la resolución de problemas, aspectos fundamentales de la dimensión cognitiva.es_ES
