dc.descriptionDigital media refers to the formats through which it is possible to transmit or create information using digital platforms. These spaces encourage communication between users and content creators, to include all communicative practices that are carried out through digital technologies. With the objective of examining the organizational structure of digital media in the province of Los Ríos in the year 2023, a study was carried out that used a mixed approach, a non-experimental design and a descriptive and exploratory approach. Surveys were conducted with 30 digital media owners and the director of the digital newspaper Al Dia.com was interviewed to understand the dynamics of consolidation. The results revealed that 70% of these media lack a defined organizational structure, 40% consider that digital media exert a greater influence compared to traditional media. In terms of organizational structure, these media have seven main departments: Digital Director, Administrator, Network Coordinator, General Editor, Head of Production, Commercial Executive and Sales Manager, as well as Graphic Editor, 50% of the media have a seniority . of two years, 30% have between two and six employees in their structure. For the most part, the staff is made up of Social Communicators who work with responsibility and journalistic ethics. 55% of these media focus on the production of news related to political issues, 40% have a website, and 60% indicate that the organizational structure has a significant impact on the consolidation of the digital medium. In the province of Los Ríos, digital media are managed by Social Communicators, who obtain an audience by promoting their social networks; In order to maintain high standards of objectivity and impartiality, they verify information and offer balanced coverage of events.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLos medios digitales se refieren a los formatos a través de los cuales es posible transmitir o crear información utilizando plataformas digitales. Estos espacios fomentan la comunicación entre los usuarios y los creadores de contenido, abarcando todas las prácticas comunicativas que se llevan a cabo mediante tecnologías digitales. Con el objetivo de examinar la estructura organizativa de los medios de comunicación digitales en la provincia de Los Ríos en el año 2023, se llevó a cabo un estudio que empleó un enfoque mixto, un diseño no experimental y un enfoque descriptivo y exploratorio. Se realizaron encuestas a 30 propietarios de medios digitales y se entrevistó al director del diario digital Al Dia.com para comprender las dinámicas de consolidación. Los resultados revelaron que el 70% de estos medios carece de una estructura organizativa definida, el 40% considera que los medios digitales ejercen una influencia mayor en comparación con los medios tradicionales. En términos de estructura organizativa, estos medios cuentan con siete departamentos principales: Director Digital, Administrador, Coordinador de Red, Editor General, Jefe de Producción, Ejecutiva Comercial y Gerente de Ventas, así como Editor Gráfico, 50% de los medios tiene una antigüedad de dos años, 30% tiene entre dos y seis empleados en su estructura. En su mayoría, el personal está compuesto por Comunicadores Sociales que trabajan con responsabilidad y ética periodística. El 55% de estos medios se centran en la producción de noticias relacionadas con temas políticos, el 40% cuenta con una página web, y el 60% indica que la estructura organizativa tiene un impacto significativo en la consolidación del medio digital. En la provincia de Los Ríos, los medios digitales son gestionados por Comunicadores Sociales, quienes obtienen audiencia promoviendo sus redes sociales; con el fin de mantener altos estándares de objetividad e imparcialidad, verifican la información y ofrecen una cobertura equilibrada de los acontecimientos.es_ES
