dc.description | Assertive communication is of great importance in the development of the substantive functions performed by the members of the Technical University of Babahoyo, therefore, the purpose of this research is to demonstrate how assertive communication influences the activities carried out in the academy, research and link with society called the substantive functions of the University.
For the execution of the proposed objectives, statistical tests were carried out through the application of surveys to the administrative staff, teachers and students of the U.T.B in order to determine if they use an assertive communication style in the exercise of their functions.
The results indicate that if there is a relationship between the study variables but no assertive communication type is applied in which students, teachers and administrative staff of the Technical University of Babahoyo can express their ideas and opinions in a confident manner, reducing the possibility of generate conflicts in the process of transmission of information and specific messages, assertive communication allows to express ideas freely and spontaneously respecting the opinions of other people, avoiding a passive and aggressive communication style in which value judgments are issued and criticism of oneself and others, which causes errors in the communication process. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | La comunicación asertiva es de gran importancia en el desarrollo de las funciones sustantivas realizadas por los miembros de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo, por lo tanto, el propósito de esta investigación es demostrar como la comunicación asertiva influye en las actividades realizadas en la academia, investigación y vínculo con la sociedad denominadas como las funciones sustantivas de la Universidad.
Para la ejecución de los objetivos planteados se realizaron pruebas estadísticas mediante la aplicación de encuestas al personal administrativo, docentes y estudiantes de la U.T.B con la finalidad de determinar si utilizan un estilo de comunicación asertivo en el ejercicio de sus funciones.
Los resultados indican que si existe una relación entre las variables de estudio pero no se aplica un tipo de comunicación asertivo en el que estudiantes, docentes y personal administrativo de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo puedan manifestar sus ideas y opiniones de manera confiada disminuyendo la posibilidad de generar conflictos en el proceso de transmisión de información y mensajes específicos, la comunicación asertiva permite expresar las ideas de forma libre y espontánea respetando las opiniones de las demás personas, evitando un estilo de comunicación pasivo y agresivo en el que se emiten juicios de valor y críticas hacia uno mismo y los demás, lo cual ocasiona errores en el proceso de comunicación. | es_ES |
