dc.descriptionCurrently, social networks have transformed the way in which political participation takes place, especially among young citizens. Thus, the objective of this study was to analyze the impact of opinion leaders and influencers on the voting decision of young people in the sectional elections in the parish of San Camilo, Canton Quevedo. For this purpose, a methodology with a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative), descriptive and exploratory, was applied. The sample obtained was of 150 individuals and the techniques used were the survey and the interview together with the questionnaire as an instrument. In obtaining the results, it was identified that 45% of respondents consult content from digital leaders for information on political issues occasionally, in addition, 59% of participants indicated that videos are an attractive format for them to carry out political content. Finally, it is concluded that opinion leaders and influencers have a significant impact on the way people view politics by influencing the way they evaluate and debate candidates and their platforms.es_ES

dc.description.abstractActualmente las redes sociales han transformado la forma en que se efectúa la participación política, especialmente entre los ciudadanos jóvenes. Es así que el presente estudio planteó como objetivo analizar la incidencia de los líderes de opinión y los influencers de la decisión del voto de los jóvenes en las elecciones seccionales de la parroquia San Camilo, Cantón Quevedo. Para ello, se aplicó una metodología con enfoque mixto (cuantitativo y cualitativo), de tipo descriptivo y exploratorio. La muestra obtenida fue de 150 individuos y las técnicas empleadas fueron la encuesta y la entrevista en conjunto con el cuestionario como instrumento. En la obtención de los resultados se identificó que el 45% de los encuestados consulta contenidos de líderes digitales para informarse sobre temas políticos de manera ocasional, además, el 59% de los participantes indicó que los videos les resulta un formato atractivo para llevar a cabo contenido político. Finalmente, se concluye que los líderes de opinión y los influencers tienen un impacto significativo en la forma en que la gente ve la política, al influir en la forma en que evalúan y debaten sobre los candidatos y sus plataformas.es_ES
