dc.description | Rice is one of the most important crops worldwide, feeding more than half of the world’s population. This research aims to determine the milling quality of the promising L-38 rice line (Oryza sp.) in the Baba region of Los Ríos province. The study was conducted in the El Porvenir River via Guare-Vinces. A nonparametric design was used with Kruskal-Wallis analysis, including comparisons of means. Three replicates (three samples with 4 m² areas taken from one hectare of crop) and two cultivars (L-38 and SFL-11) were considered for the analysis. Both the promising line L-38 and the commercial variety SFL-11 in each repetition (R1, R2, R3) of 2x2 (4m2), where 1000gr of samples were taken to the laboratory of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, To determine the milling quality of the promising line, the following variables were evaluated: weight (g) of husk, percentage (%) of humidity, weight (g) whole grain, weight (g) of white mass, weight (g) of dust, weight (g) of broken grain, weight (g) of whole grain, percentage (%) of whiteness, percentage (%) of amylose and protein, this helps us determine the quality of rice grain.The results obtained in relation to the protein content, it is observed that the L-38 line obtained a value of (8.30%) while the SFL-11 had a value of (7.9%), concluding that the L-38 line is superior to the SFL-11 variety. Regarding the amylose content, the commercial variety SFL-11 presented a value of (34.97%) higher than the L-38 line which obtained (26.83%). Based on the broken grain content, it was determined that the promising line L-38 has an average of (32.85%), while the commercial variety SFL-11 has an average of (37.89%), which is determined to be superior to the L-38 line. It is concluded that there is little difference in milling quality between the two varieties of rice. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | A nivel mundial, el arroz es uno de los cultivos más importantes que existe, ya que alimenta a más de la mitad de las personas en el planeta, por lo que juega un papel fundamental en la seguridad alimentaria de muchos países. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la calidad molinera de la línea promisora de arroz L-38 (Oryza Sp.) en la zona Baba, provincia de los Ríos. La investigación se desarrolló, en el Rcto. El Porvenir Vía Guare-Vinces.Se realizó un diseño no paramétrico con el uso de análisis de Kruskal Wallis incluyendo las comparaciones de medias. Para el análisis se consideraron tres repeticiones (tres muestreos con áreas de 4 m² tomadas en una hectárea de cultivo) y dos cultivares (L-38 y SFL-11). Para analizar la calidad molinera. Tanto como la línea promisoria L-38 y la Variedad comercial SFL-11 en cada repetición (R1, R2, R3) de 2x2 (4m2), donde se tomaron 1000gr de muestras que fueron llevas al laboratorio de la facultas ciencias agropecuarias, Para determinar la calidad molinera de la línea promisora se evaluó las siguientes variables que son el peso(g) de cascarilla, porcentaje (%) de humedad, peso (g) grano integral, peso (g) de masa blanca, peso (g) de polvillo, peso (g) de grano quebrado, peso (g) de grano entero, porcentaje (%) de blancura, porcentaje (%) de amilosa y proteína, esto nos ayuda a determinar la calidad de grano de arroz. Los resultados obtenidos en relación al contenido de proteína, se observa que en la línea L-38 obtuvo un valor de (8,30%) mientras que la SFL-11 tuvo un valor de (7,9%), concluyendo que la línea L-38 es superior a la variedad SFL-11. en cuanto al contenido de amilosa la variedad comercial SFL-11 Presento un valor de (34,97%) superior a la línea L-38 que obtuvo un (26,83%). En base al contenido de granos quebrados se determinó que la línea promisoria L-38 tiene un promedio de (32,85%), mientras que la variedad comercial SFL-11 tiene un promedio de (37,89%), donde se determina que es superior a la línea L-38. Se concluye que existe poca diferencia de calidad molinera entre las dos variedades de arroz. | es_ES |
