Rice (Oryza sp) is one of the most important crops worldwide, as it is a staple food in the diet of millions of people. Within the Poaceae family, the genus Oryza has approximately 23 species distributed in various regions such as Asia, Africa, Australia, Central America and South America. However, only two species are of greater agricultural relevance: Oryza sativa and Oryza glaberrima, the first being the most cultivated globally due to its high yield and adaptability. In the town of Babahoyo, we seek to evaluate the effect of different broadcast sowing densities using the promising L-38 rice line (Oryza sp) in the town of Babahoyo. Planting density is a key factor in productivity, since it influences competition for light, water and nutrients. Adequate spacing can improve crop performance, optimizing available resources. This study will generate valuable information for farmers, helping them make more accurate decisions about rice planting and contributing to improving production in the region. With this, it is expected to promote rice cultivation in Babahoyo and strengthen food security.es_ES
