dc.description | The case study conducted at the Heavy Cargo Transport Company Río Babahoyo S.A. Cotrarioba focused on evaluating the efficiency of its administrative processes during the 2023 period to identify areas for improvement. This company was founded in 2013, is dedicated to road freight transport and has 125 partners and 3 administrative staff. The company faced significant problems in its planning, organization, direction and control processes, which affected its efficiency and profitability. The objective of the research was to examine how administrative processes influenced the company's performance and to detect the deficiencies present at each stage of the administrative process. To achieve this, a mixed methodological approach was used that combined qualitative and quantitative techniques. Interviews were conducted with the manager, president and secretary to obtain perspectives on internal communication, planning and document management. In addition, financial indicators were analyzed to evaluate the company's profitability and performance. The study sought to identify and understand deficiencies in internal communication, inadequate planning, disorganized documentation, and poor financial control. Based on these findings, corrective actions were proposed to optimize administrative management. Recommendations include the creation of a strategic plan for continuous improvement that establishes a committee to oversee corrective actions. These actions were aimed at improving administrative efficiency, reducing costs, and strengthening the organizational structure, with the goal of ensuring sustainable growth and improving profitability. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | El estudio de caso realizado en la Compañía de Transporte de Carga Pesada Río Babahoyo S.A. Cotrarioba se centró en evaluar la eficiencia de sus procesos administrativos durante el periodo 2023 para identificar áreas de mejora. Esta compañía fue fundada en el año 2013, se dedica al transporte de carga por carretera y cuenta con 125 socios y 3 administrativos. La empresa enfrentó problemas significativos en sus procesos de planificación, organización, dirección y control, los cuales afectaron su eficiencia y rentabilidad. El objetivo de la investigación fue examinar cómo los procesos administrativos influyeron en el desempeño de la empresa y detectar las deficiencias presentes en cada etapa del proceso administrativo. Para lograr esto, se empleó un enfoque metodológico mixto que combinó técnicas cualitativas y cuantitativas. Se realizaron entrevistas con el gerente, presidente y secretario para obtener perspectivas sobre la comunicación interna, planificación y gestión documental. Además, se analizaron indicadores financieros para evaluar la rentabilidad y el desempeño de la empresa. El estudio buscó identificar y comprender las deficiencias en la comunicación interna, la planificación inadecuada, la desorganización documental y el control financiero deficiente. Con base en estos hallazgos, se propusieron acciones correctivas para optimizar la gestión administrativa. Las recomendaciones incluyen la creación de un plan estratégico de mejora continua que establezca un comité para supervisar acciones correctivas. Estas acciones estuvieron orientadas a mejorar la eficiencia administrativa, reducir costos y fortalecer la estructura organizacional, con el objetivo de asegurar un crecimiento sostenible y mejorar la rentabilidad. | es_ES |
