dc.description | The quality and quantity of water are measures that make up the environmental system, intended for the calculation of environmental sustainability, including indicators recognized and approved by the UN to specify sustainable development. To determine the quality of water, analysis must be done in the laboratory, studying its chemical, physical and biological properties. In the province of Los Ríos, Ecuador, there is a growing complication due to the decrease in the quality of water used for irrigation in banana production, affecting the productivity and quality of the fruit. Therefore, this work is of vital importance due to its theoretical content, since the banana industry is an economic pillar for the province and Ecuador. In this way, this work aimed to analyze the relationship between the quality of irrigation water and banana production systems in the province of Los Ríos, Ecuador. Carried out by collecting information from scientific articles, websites, Google Scholar and virtual libraries. Taking into account that the quality of water for irrigation is crucial in Musa AAA banana production systems, since it directly influences the performance and health of the plants, and that contaminants can cause diseases in banana plants, weakening them and reducing their productivity. Concluding that, the quality of water for irrigation is essential in banana production, and the use of contaminated water causes diseases, affecting the quality and quantity of the harvest. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | La calidad y cantidad de las aguas son medidas que conforman el sistema ambiental, destinado para el cálculo de la sostenibilidad ambiental, incluyendo indicadores reconocidos y aprobados por la ONU para precisar un desarrollo sostenible. Para determinar la calidad del agua se debe hacer análisis en el laboratorio, estudiando sus propiedades químicas, físicas y biológicas. En la provincia de Los Ríos, Ecuador, se presenta una complicación creciente debido a la disminución de la calidad de agua que se utiliza para el riego en la producción de banano, afectando en la productividad y calidad de la fruta. Por lo cual, este trabajo es de vital importancia debido a su contenido teórico, ya que, la industria bananera es un pilar económico para la provincia y el Ecuador. De esta manera, este trabajo tuvo como objetivo analizar la relación entre la calidad del agua para riego y los sistemas de producción de banano en la provincia de Los Ríos, Ecuador. Realizada mediante la recopilación de información de artículos científicos, sitios webs, google académico y bibliotecas virtuales. Teniendo como resultados que, la calidad del agua para riego es crucial en los sistemas de producción de banano Musa AAA, ya que influye directamente en el rendimiento y la salud de las plantas, y que los contaminantes pueden causar enfermedades en las plantas de banano, debilitándolas y reduciendo su productividad. Concluyendo en que, la calidad del agua para riego es esencial en la producción de banano, y el uso de agua contaminada provoca enfermedades, afectando la calidad y cantidad de la cosecha. | es_ES |
