dc.descriptionThe growth of digital media in the city of Babahoyo, province of Los Ríos, has been evident during the last decade, due to the development of technology and globalization; Therefore, this study analyzed the way in which local digital media have been developing to remain current within this highly competitive information market. For the development of this research, the quantitative and qualitative method was used, through the technique of survey, interview and observation sheet. To carry out the survey, a sample of 384 inhabitants of the city of Babahoyo was taken into consideration; While to carry out the interview, three digital media managers were applied, while to apply the observation, the media Babahoyo Aldía, Nd Noticias and Click Noticias were examined. The results obtained in this investigation showed that there are currently about 20 native digital media, of which only 7 are in the Public Registry of Media of the Communication Council of Ecuador, where the registration of said media does not ensure greater performance. Since one of the media preferred by the public is not registered, therefore, it is concluded that the strategies applied within the narratives are important for the development of the media and have a better performance in the digital field. Therefore, it was proposed to promote a training workshop aimed at digital media journalists, on the innovation of transmedia narrative, in order to contribute to strengthening the growth of local digital media.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl crecimiento de los medios digitales en la ciudad de Babahoyo, provincia de Los Ríos, ha sido evidente durante esta última década, debido al desarrollo de la tecnología y la globalización; por ende, en este estudio se analizó la manera en cómo se han venido desenvolviendo los medios digitales locales para mantenerse vigentes dentro de este mercado de la información tan competitivo. Para el desarrollo de esta investigación se utilizó el método cuantitativo y cualitativo, mediante la técnica de encuesta, entrevista y ficha de observación. Para ejecutar la encuesta se tomó en consideración una muestra de 384 habitantes de la ciudad de Babahoyo; mientras que para llevar a cabo la entrevista se aplicó a tres gerentes de medios digitales, mientras que para aplicar la observación se examinó a los medios Babahoyo Aldía, Nd Noticias y Click Noticias. Los resultados que se obtuvieron en esta investigación arrojaron que actualmente existen cerca de 20 medios digitales nativos, de los cuales solo 7 se encuentran en el Registro Público de Medios del Consejo de Comunicación del Ecuador, donde el registro de dichos medios no asegura un mayor desempeño puesto que uno de los medios preferidos por el público no se encuentra registrado, por ello, se concluye que es importante las estrategias aplicadas dentro de las narrativas para el desarrollo de los medios y tener un mejor desempeño en ámbito digital. Por ende, se propuso el impulsar un taller de capacitación dirigido a periodistas de medios de comunicación digitales, sobre la innovación de la narrativa transmedia, con la finalidad de contribuir al fortalecimiento del crecimiento de los cibermedios locales.es_ES
