dc.description | The present experimental work was developed in the properties of Mr. Cornelio de Jesús Arana Echeverría, located in the parish of Isla de Bejucal canton Baba. As planting material, Cuarentón Bean seeds were used. In the trial management, the following tasks were carried out: soil preparation, soil disinfection, planting, weed control, phytosanitary control, irrigation, fertilization and harvest. The conclusions determined that the plant height variable did not obtain significant differences in their averages; the highest number of pods per plant and grains per pod were positively influenced in all their treatments by the application of urea in different doses, unlike the absolute control that reported the lowest values; Regarding the weight of 100 grains, yield and economic analysis, the best results were shown with the use of urea in doses of 90 kg/ha and the agronomic efficiency obtained equal averages with the use of urea in doses of 80 and 90 kg. /ha. The recommendations raised are to apply 90 kg/ha of urea as a source of chemical fertilization in the forty-year-old bean crop; replicate the same research under other agroecological conditions and promote to farmers the benefits of using nitrogen in legumes to increase yields. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo experimental se desarrolló en los predios del Sr. Cornelio de Jesús Arana Echeverría, ubicado en la parroquia Isla de Bejucal cantón Baba. Como material de siembra se utilizó semillas de Frejol Cuarentón. En el manejo de ensayo se efectuaron las siguientes labores: preparación de suelo, desinfección del terreno, siembra, control de malezas, control fitosanitario, riego, fertilización y cosecha. Las conclusiones determinaron que la variable altura de planta no obtuvo diferencias significativas en sus promedios; el mayor numero de vainas por planta y granos por vaina se vieron influenciados positivamente en todos sus tratamientos ante la aplicación de urea en diferentes dosis, a diferencia del testigo absoluto que reportó los menores valores; En lo referente al peso de 100 granos, rendimiento y análisis económico, se mostraron los mejores resultados con el empleo de urea en dosis de 90 kg/ha y la eficiencia agronómica obtuvo promedios iguales con el empleo de urea en dosis de 80 y 90 kg/ha. Las recomendaciones se planteadas son aplicar 90 kg/ha de urea como fuente de fertilización química en el cultivo de frejol cuarentón; replicar la misma investigación bajo otras condiciones agroecológicas y promover ante los agricultores los beneficios del uso del nitrógeno en las leguminosas, para incrementar rendimientos. | es_ES |
