dc.description | The use of virtual environments significantly favors the development of collaborative learning; since, through them, a deeper and more interactive didactic and participatory transposition is achieved, according to the student's teaching-learning process. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to determine how virtual environments affect the collaborative learning of students in Higher General Basic Education at the "León de Febres Cordero" Educational Unit, San Juan. The methodology of this case study has a mixed approach, because qualitative and quantitative techniques are used for the collection of relevant data; while the type of research was descriptive and correlational. It is important to mention that in order to obtain information on the research topic, a survey was used as a research technique, addressed to 65 teachers who teach at the school, and a questionnaire with 18 questions was also used. The results obtained were that teachers do not make use of technologies for the development of collaborative learning within the classes, in virtual environments, which considerably influences the learning process of the students of the Leon de Febres Cordero Educational Unit, as it was shown that some teachers do not master the technological tools and rarely perform activities aimed at teamwork, which does not have satisfactory results; Therefore, it is concluded that virtual environments have a positive impact on collaborative learning of students, because they awaken the interest and dynamism of the student to learn and share knowledge, encouraging students to be responsible for their own learning. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
