dc.description | LMS tools today have become a set of very important digital resources that facilitate distance education and teaching-learning processes. These educational management resources allow the creation of innovative learning scenarios through the use of information and communication technologies, so that students and teachers can interact with each other in real time and from anywhere in the world. The objective of this research was to evaluate the way in which LMS tools improve the academic performance of students at the "Federico González Suarez" School of Basic Education, Montalvo. The study is structured under a non-experimental design; the types of research were descriptive, causal-cross-sectional and documentary. In addition, the methods used are: inductive and deductive. For the collection of information, a survey of students, an interview with teachers and an observation sheet were used as techniques. The results of the research show that students have a positive perception regarding the use of virtual learning tools, most of them expressed the benefits they generate such as: facilitates and encourages learning, the training process is innovative, improves teacher communication and increases academic performance. It is concluded that learning management tools (LMS) are very important because they contribute significantly to improving the teaching-learning process and promote the academic performance of students. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | Las herramientas LMS en la actualidad se han constituido en un conjunto de recursos digitales muy importantes que facilitan la educación a distancia y los procesos de enseñanza aprendizaje. Estos recursos de gestión educativa permiten crear escenarios de aprendizaje innovadores mediante la utilización de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación, para que los estudiantes y docentes puedan interactuar entre sí en tiempo real y desde cualquier parte del mundo. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue evaluar la manera en que las herramientas LMS mejora el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes en la Escuela de Educación Básica "Federico González Suarez", Montalvo. El estudio se encuentra estructurado bajo un diseño no experimental, los tipos de investigación fueron descriptivo, causal- transversal y documental. Además, los métodos empleados son: inductivo y deductivo. Para la recolección de información se utilizó como técnicas una encuesta a los estudiantes, entrevista a los docentes y una ficha de observación. Los resultados de la investigación evidencian que los estudiantes poseen una percepción positiva con respecto al uso de las herramientas virtuales de aprendizaje, la mayoría de ellos manifestaron los beneficios que generan tales como: facilita y fomenta el aprendizaje, el proceso formativo es innovador, mejora la comunicación del docente e incrementa el rendimiento académico. Se concluye que las herramientas de gestión de aprendizaje (LMS) son muy importantes pues contribuyen de manera significativa a mejorar el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje y fomenta el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. | es_ES |
