dc.descriptionBabahoyo known in colonial times as a winery, is the cantonal head belonging to of the Los Ríos province, it´s located in the center of the coastal region. It has a very important water resource called the Babahoyo River divided by two rivers; San Pablo and Catarama, place where the following case study will be analyzed, with the aim of proposing river recreational activities to analyze the tourist reactivation of the Babahoyo River. River recreational activities are groups of activities that take place in freshwater spaces, offering the opportunity for fun and enjoyment to each individual. Regarding the tourist reactivation, it refers to developing strategies in those resources or tourist places that have limited importance and that can be taken to reestablish tourism within the city. This analysis is aimed at public and private companies that are those that guarantee tourism development, through the strategies or projects proposed by professionals, so that they benefit, the population in general is also favored, allowing human development through active practice. In addition, these actions increase the economic resource and improve the quality of life of its inhabitants. One of the problems detected is that the Babahoyo River is not used for tourism, due to the little support that there is in public and private companies, consequently the inhabitants use the river only for daily activities. On the other hand, the technique applied for the collection of information was the survey, being applied to 100 people, resulting in the agreement of the population to implement recreational river activities to reactivate tourism in the city.es_ES

dc.description.abstractBabahoyo conocida en la época colonial como bodega, es la cabecera cantonal perteneciente a la provincia de Los Ríos, ubicada al centro de la región litoral. Cuenta con un recurso hídrico muy importante denominada el Río Babahoyo dividido por dos ríos; San Pablo y Catarama, lugar donde se analizará el siguiente estudio de caso, con el objetivo de proponer actividades recreativas fluviales para analizar la reactivación turística del Río Babahoyo. Las actividades recreativas fluviales son grupos de actividades que tiene lugar para su desarrollo en espacios de agua dulce, ofreciendo la oportunidad de diversión y disfrute a cada individuo. En cuanto a la reactivación turística hace referencia a desarrollar estrategias en aquellos recursos o lugares turísticos que tienen una limitada importancia y que pueden ser tomados para restablecer el turismo dentro de la ciudad. Este analice está dirigido hacia las empresas públicas y privadas que son las que garantizan el desarrollo turístico, a través de las estrategias o proyectos planteados por los profesionales, de modo que se benefician, también favorece la población en general, permitiendo el desarrollo humano mediante la práctica activa. Además, con estas acciones se incrementa el recurso económico y mejora la calidad de vida de sus habitantes. Uno de los problemas detectados es que el Río Babahoyo no es aprovechado turísticamente, debido al escaso apoyo que hay en las empresas públicas y privadas, en consecuencia, los habitantes hacen uso del río solo para actividades cotidianas. Por otro lado, la técnica aplicada para la recolección de información fue la encuesta, siendo aplicada a 100 personas, teniendo como resultado el acuerdo por parte de la población en implementar actividades recreativas fluviales para reactivar el turismo en la ciudad.es_ES
