| dc.description | This research was carried out with the purpose of knowing how environmental problems influence the tourist development of the El Empalme canton. According to studies carried out by the GAD Municipality of the city, in recent years environmental pollution problems have occurred frequently in urban and rural areas, including neighboring areas and areas, altering the biodiversity that beautifies this beautiful corner of Ecuador. Social and economic factors drive and are part of the present environmental problems, this type of setbacks not only appear in large cities or countries with greater economic development, it is a problem that affects all countries equally, of which many governments They are accomplices of the big polluting multinational companies, avoiding talking about what interferes so that more severe environmental protection laws are created. It has been observed that the canton El Empalme is not aware of the importance of caring for the environment causing damage and endangering not only the natural environment but their own lives, among the main environmental problems we can mention: garbage waste that is thrown to the streets or natural sites, contamination of rivers and estuaries due to chemical products that are discarded by the agricultural sector, deforestation due to various human activities, extinction of species due to fortuitous hunting or illegal traffic, emission of vehicle toxic gases causing negative effects on the tourist image of the city | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación se efectuó con el propósito de conocer cómo influyen los problemas ambientales en el desarrollo turístico del cantón El Empalme. De acuerdo a estudios realizados por el GAD Municipio de la ciudad, en los últimos años los problemas de contaminación ambiental se han presentado de forma frecuente en las áreas urbanas, rurales, incluido zonas y recintos aledaños alterando la biodiversidad que embellece este hermoso rincón del Ecuador. Los factores sociales y económicos impulsan y forman parte de los problemas ambientales presentes, este tipo de contrariedades no solo se presentan en las grandes urbes o países de un mayor desarrollo económico es un problema que afecta a todos los países por igual, del cual muchos gobiernos son cómplices de las grandes empresas multinacionales contaminantes evitando hablar lo que interfiere para que se creen leyes más severas de protección ambiental. Se ha observado que el cantón El Empalme no se concientiza en la importancia de cuidar el medio ambiente causando daño y poniendo en peligro no solo el entorno natural sino sus propias vidas, entre los principales problemas ambientales se pueden mencionar: desechos de basura que son arrojados a las calles o sitios naturales, contaminación de ríos y esteros debido a productos químicos que son desechados por el sector agrícola, deforestación a causa de varias de las actividades del ser humano, extinción de las especies debido a la caza fortuita o tráfico ilegal, emisión de los gases tóxicos vehiculares causando efectos negativos en la imagen turísticas de la ciudad | es_ES |
