dc.descriptionThis research study has been carried out at the Martin Icaza Hospital in the city of Babahoyo, the central topic of analysis focuses on the workload of nursing professionals and how this aspect becomes a determinant for the quality of life that these present The objective of the investigation is to determine the influence of the independent variable on the dependent to design a solution proposal that mitigates or eradicates the problem situation presented. The study has a qualitative and quantitative approach by virtue of the characteristics of the research variables, the data has been obtained through the implementation of research techniques which are: survey and CVP test applied to the nurses of the institution in where the subject is analyzed and developed. The results show that a large percentage of the manifest nursing staff has a perception of quality of life which is not at optimal levels; There are several reasons for this event, among which are: excess workload, lack of incentives (non-monetary), ergonomic aspects in the workplace and lack motivation on the part of the administrative management. The investigation concludes by stating that one of the determining factors for the existence of work overload is the non-implementation of a situational analysis that verifies the activities of each nursing professional in the area that is being developed.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio investigativo ha sido realizado en el Hospital Martin Icaza de la ciudad de Babahoyo, el tema central de análisis se enfoca en la carga laboral que tienen los profesionales de enfermería y como este aspecto se convierte en determinante para la calidad de vida que estos presentan. El objetivo de la investigación es determinar la influencia de la variable independiente sobre la dependiente para diseñar una propuesta de solución que mitigue o erradique la situación problemática presentada. El estudio tiene enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo en virtud de las características de las variables de investigación, los datos han sido obtenidos a través de la implementación de técnicas investigativas las cuales son: encuesta y test de CVP aplicadas a los y las enfermeras de la institución en donde se analiza y desarrolla el tema. Los resultados evidencian que un gran porcentaje del personal de enfermería manifiesta tiene una percepción de calidad de vida la cual no se encuentra en niveles óptimos; existen varias razones para este acontecimiento entre los cuales se encuentran: exceso de carga laboral, falta de incentivos (no monetarios), aspectos ergonómicos en el sitio de trabajo y deciente motivación por parte de la dirección administrativa. La investigación concluye manifestando que uno de los factores determinantes para que exista sobrecarga laboral es la no implementación de un análisis situacional que verifique las actividades que tiene a cargo cada profesional de enfermería en el área que se desenvuelve.es_ES
