dc.descriptionThe present case study was carried out with an 8-year-old girl student of the "Caracol" Educational Unit located in the Caracol Parish, of the Babahoyo Canton; The development of this case is its development since the minor is taken by her teacher to the department of psychology because she presented a decline in her school performance, which through the application of different psychological tools and conducting a thorough exploration of the mental state, the result was the presence of a separation anxiety disorder, which was causing problems in their school, social and family. This case study addresses topics such as anxiety in the childhood stage, etiology, treatment and the involvement of this pathology in school performance. Highlighting an important point that anxiety can be presented as a normal state within the development of the child and school stage, but that if this is prolonged for a period of time and is not consistent with the stage of development of the child it will become a pathology that will affect the mood of children. Within this case, a therapeutic plan was designed based on techniques within cognitive behavioral therapy for the restructuring of thought and reducing the anxiety states of the child when she is alone or away from her parent.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio de caso se desarrolló con una niña de 8 años de edad estudiante de la Unidad Educativa “Caracol” ubicada en la Parroquia Caracol, del Cantón Babahoyo; el desarrollo de este caso se da su desarrollo ya que la menor es llevada por su docente al departamento de psicología por que presentaba un decaimiento en su rendimiento escolar, que a través de las aplicación de distintas herramientas psicológicas y la realización de una exploración minuciosa del estado mental, se obtuvo como resultado la presencia de un trastorno de ansiedad por separación, que estaba provocando problemas en su ámbito escolar, social y familiar. Mediante este estudio de caso se aborda temas como la ansiedad en la etapa infantil, etiología, tratamiento y la afectación de esta patología en el rendimiento escolar. Destacando un punto importante que la ansiedad puede presentarse como un estado normal dentro del desarrollo de la etapa infantil y escolar, pero que si esta se prolonga por un periodo de tiempo y no está acorde a la etapa de desarrollo del menor se tornara en una patología que afectara al estado anímico de los niños. Dentro de este caso se diseñó un plan terapéutico basado en técnicas dentro de la terapia cognitiva-conductual para la reestructura del pensamiento y disminuir los estados de ansiedad de la menor al momento de estar sola o lejos de su progenitora.es_ES
