dc.description	The present investigation concerning traditional crafts and cultural tourism in the Babahoyo canton, province of Los Ríos, developed as a proposal to establish strategies to promote traditional crafts and cultural tourism of the Babahoyo canton, for which 87 artisans were surveyed. For the collection of information, a questionnaire was designed and developed containing nine questions, each with multiple answers. The selection of respondents was by random technique, considering the number required according to the formula proposed for the investigation. The theoretical distribution of frequencies was developed, in order to visibly appreciate the representative values of the sample using a pie chart. Based on the foregoing, it was determined that traditional handicrafts are a fundamental influence for cultural tourism and that it offers innumerable benefits for it, which is why its importance as a cultural manifestation within cultural tourism must be revalued and both promoted for its functioning and valid knowledge. ; In the Babahoyo canton it was evident that there is little diffusion or promotion of handicrafts, due to insufficient information on them, and the absence of contributions from the entities towards the cantonal cultural development and through strategies to promote dissemination of the handicrafts within the cultural tourism will be able to boost the knowledge of information, origin and cultural valuation of the same, in addition to achieving a boost in the cultural tourism of the canton	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	La presente investigación referente a las artesanías tradicionales y el turismo cultural en el cantón Babahoyo, provincia de Los Ríos, desarrolló como propuesta establecer estrategias de promoción de las artesanías tradicionales y turismo cultural del cantón Babahoyo, para lo cual se encuestó a 87 artesanos. Para la recolección de la información se diseñó y se elaboró un cuestionario que contenía nueve preguntas, cada una de ellas con respuestas múltiples. La selección de los encuestados fue mediante la técnica aleatoria, considerando el número requerido de acuerdo a la fórmula propuesta para la investigación. Se desarrolló la distribución teórica de frecuencias, con el objeto de apreciar visiblemente mediante gráfico circular los valores representativos de la muestra. Por lo expuesto se determinó que las artesanías tradicionales son una fundamental influencia para el turismo cultural y que brinda innumerables beneficios para el mismo, por lo cual se debe revalorizar su importancia como manifestación cultural dentro del turismo cultural e impulsar ambos para su funcionamiento y conocimiento valedero; en el cantón Babahoyo se evidencio que existe escasa difusión o promoción de las artesanías, debido a la insuficiente información existente sobre las mismas, y a la ausencia de aportes de parte de las entidades hacia el desarrollo cultural cantonal y por medio de estrategias para fomentar la difusión de las artesanías dentro del turismo cultural se lograra impulsar el conocimiento de información, procedencia y valoración cultural de las mismas, además de lograr un impulso en el turismo cultural del cantón	es_ES
