dc.descriptionThis research focuses on analyzing the contribution of the digital whiteboard to the professional performance of teachers at the Faculty of Legal, Social and Educational Sciences of the Technical University of Babahoyo, during the academic period between October 2023 and March. 2024. This study is based on the premise that the integration of technology in teaching can have a significant impact on teaching practice and, therefore, on the quality of the students' learning process. To address this issue, qualitative and quantitative analyzes were carried out that involved collecting data through surveys in order to understand teachers' perceptions and experiences regarding the use of the digital whiteboard in their educational work. The results obtained revealed a generally positive trend in terms of the contribution of the digital whiteboard to the professional performance of teachers; various benefits associated with its use were identified, among which the possibility of diversifying teaching strategies, facilitating understanding, of the contents by the students, and incorporate multimedia resources in the classes. These findings suggest that the digital whiteboard is perceived as a versatile and effective tool that improves the quality and experience of learning in the classroom. However, areas of improvement and pending challenges were also identified in the integration of the digital whiteboard into teaching practice, among them the need to offer more complete and personalized training for teachers, as well as to update and improve the technological infrastructure available at the university. Likewise, the importance of fostering an institutional culture that promotes innovation and experimentation in the use of technology in teaching is highlighted, as well as establishing an effective and accessible technical support system for teachers.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación se centra en analizar la contribución de la pizarra digital en el desempeño profesional de los docentes de la Facultad de Ciencias Jurídicas, Sociales y de la Educación de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo, durante el periodo académico comprendido entre octubre de 2023 y marzo de 2024. Este estudio se basa en la premisa de que la integración de la tecnología en la enseñanza puede tener un impacto significativo en la práctica docente y, por ende, en la calidad del proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Para abordar esta cuestión, se llevaron a cabo análisis cualitativos y cuantitativos que involucraron la recopilación de datos a través de encuestas con el fin de comprender las percepciones y experiencias de los docentes respecto al uso de la pizarra digital en su labor educativa. Los resultados obtenidos revelaron una tendencia generalmente positiva en cuanto a la contribución de la pizarra digital al desempeño profesional de los docentes, se identificaron diversos beneficios asociados con su utilización, entre los cuales se destacan la posibilidad de diversificar las estrategias de enseñanza, facilitar la comprensión de los contenidos por parte de los estudiantes, e incorporar recursos multimedia en las clases. Estos hallazgos sugieren que la pizarra digital se percibe como una herramienta versátil y efectiva que mejora la calidad y la experiencia de aprendizaje en el aula. Sin embargo, también se identificaron áreas de mejora y desafíos pendientes en la integración de la pizarra digital en la práctica docente, entre ellos, se destacan la necesidad de ofrecer una capacitación más completa y personalizada para los docentes, así como de actualizar y mejorar la infraestructura tecnológica disponible en la universidad. Asimismo, se subraya la importancia de fomentar una cultura institucional que promueva la innovación y la experimentación en el uso de la tecnología en la enseñanza, así como de establecer un sistema de soporte técnico eficaz y accesible para los docentes.es_ES
