dc.descriptionThe research project focused on analyzing the impact of collaborative learning on the academic performance of third-year basic education students at the San José de Babahoyo School. Determining in one way or another that the implementation of this methodology faces challenges due to the lack of effective structures for group work and limited guidance from teachers, which has led to variable results in the academic performance of students. The general objective is to determine how collaborative learning impacts the academic performance of these students, while the methodology used is mixed, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. Surveys, interviews and observation sheets were used that favored the analysis of academic data, involving the participation of teachers, students and the educational community. The importance of following ethical standards when working with children is highlighted, guaranteeing consent and confidentiality. This comprehensive approach seeks to thoroughly understand the situation of collaborative learning in the aforementioned school and its impact on academic performance, in order to propose recommendations to improve this educational process and thus improve the academic performance of the students of said educational institution.es_ES

dc.description.abstractResumen El proyecto de investigación se enfocó en analizar el impacto del aprendizaje colaborativo en el rendimiento académico de estudiantes de tercer año de educación básica en la Escuela San José de Babahoyo. Determinando de una manera u otra que la implementación de esta metodología enfrenta desafíos debido a la falta de estructuras efectivas para el trabajo en grupo y a la limitada orientación por parte de los docentes, lo que ha llevado a resultados variables en el rendimiento académico de los alumnos. El objetivo general es determinar cómo el aprendizaje colaborativo impacta en el rendimiento académico de estos estudiantes, mientras que la metodología empleada es mixta, combinando enfoques cualitativos y cuantitativos. Se utilizaron encuestas, entrevista y ficha de observación que favorecieron al análisis de datos académicos, involucrando la participación de docentes, estudiantes y la comunidad educativa. Se destaca la importancia de seguir estándares éticos al trabajar con niños, garantizando el consentimiento y la confidencialidad. Este enfoque integral busca comprender a fondo la situación del aprendizaje colaborativo en la escuela mencionada y su impacto en el rendimiento académico, con el fin de proponer recomendaciones para mejorar este proceso educativo y así mejorar el rendimiento académico de los alumnos de dicha institución educativa.es_ES
