dc.descriptionThe following thesis deals with parents and their incidence in the academic performance of students, which has as general objective to determine the participation of parents and their incidence in the academic performance of fourth year students of EBG in the Juan E. Verdesoto School. In which a research methodology has been used with a mixed approach, of explanatory type trying to note the effect on the research variables, with a documentary - experimental design where research work has been reviewed to gather information on this topic, directed to a population of 96 students of the Juan E. Verdesoto School corresponding to the students of the fourth year of general basic education is located in the province of Los Ríos, Canton Babahoyo located on 10 de Agosto Street between Rocafuerte and Eloy Alfaro. With a sample of 48 students belonging to the fourth year of basic education. The technique used for data collection is the survey and the instrument used in this research was the questionnaire of questions that gave us valuable information in our research. Once the data were collected, they were tabulated, we chose the statistical tool Excel, obtained with instruments previously subjected to reliability and validity tests. The results were statistically analysed and showed a percentage of 68% of students who do not have the support of their parents in doing their homework or participating in academic activities. The conclusion is that parental participation in the teaching and learning process is very important.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa siguiente tesis trata sobre padres de familia y su incidencia en el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes, la cual cuenta como objetivo general determinar la participación de los padres de familia y su incidencia en el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes de cuarto año de EBG en la escuela Juan E. Verdesoto. En lo cual se ha utilizado una metodología de investigación con enfoque mixto, de tipo descriptivo tratando de notar el efecto en las variables de investigación, con un diseño documental donde se revisó trabajos investigativos para recabar información para dicho tema, dirigida a una población de 96 estudiantes de la escuela Juan E. Verdesoto correspondientes a los alumnos de cuarto año de educación general básica se encuentra ubicada en la provincia de Los Ríos, cantón Babahoyo ubicada en la calle 10 de Agosto entre Rocafuerte y Eloy Alfaro. Con muestreo de 48 estudiantes pertenecientes al cuarto año de educación básica. La técnica utilizada para la recolección de datos es la encuesta y el instrumento utilizado en esta investigación fue el banco de preguntas, la cual nos brindó información valiosa en nuestra investigación. Una vez recolectado los datos, fueron tabulados, seleccionamos la herramienta estadística de Excel, obtenidos con instrumentos previamente sometidos a pruebas de fiabilidad y validez. Los resultados han sido analizados estadísticamente u nos arrojó un porcentaje del 68% de estudiantes que no cuentan con el apoyo de sus padres en la realización de tareas o participación de actividades académicas. Obteniendo como conclusión que es muy importante la participación de los padres de familia en los procesos de enseñanza aprendizaje.es_ES
