The present study focuses on investigating the relationship between self-concept and emotional intelligence in students of the Faculty of Legal, Social and Educational Sciences of the Technical University of Babahoyo. Its relevance at the international, national and local level is highlighted, proposing a hypothesis of a direct relationship between these two variables. The exploration modality that this study addresses is a bibliographic and documentary field, in addition to the implementation of a precise methodology that contributes to carrying out a detailed analysis of the data to design personalized support strategies for the benefit of the students. Psychometric tests such as the “Trait Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS-24)” test and the “Self-concept Form 5 (AF-5)” test were used to measure self-concept and emotional intelligence respectively. The primary objective of this study is to identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement in both variables, seeking to enhance the comprehensive growth of students as well as improve the quality of the university experience and promote academic success. Consequently, the results of the curricular integration work point to a positive connection between the development of self-concept and emotional intelligence in students, pointing out that the strengthening of one is related to the growth of the other and vice versa, emphasizing the need to address these variables that are very important for mental well-being and healthy personality development.es_ES
