dc.descriptionThe graphic proposal seeks to strengthen the sense of belonging in the university community, through an animated emblem that reflects the identity and values of the institution. After an investigation carried out during the seventh semester, it was revealed that 58.2% of the students do not know the history of the academy they attend. Interviews with graphic design experts supported the importance of creating an institutional mascot for the Technical University of Babahoyo. A survey was carried out on 1,062 people out of a population of 12,272, using a deductive methodology to understand the preferences of the university community regarding the image that will represent the university. The initial proposal suggests a mascot represented by a snake, and a competition is proposed between designers for its creation, as well as the use of the survey responses in a campaign to launch the emblem, in order to encourage interaction between the academy and the community.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa propuesta gráfica busca fortalecer el sentido de pertenencia en la comunidad universitaria, a través de un emblema animado que refleje la identidad y valores de la institución. Tras una investigación realizada durante el séptimo semestre, se reveló que un 58,2% de los alumnos desconoce la historia de la academia a la que asisten. Entrevistas a expertos en diseño gráfico respaldaron la importancia de crear una mascota institucional para la Universidad Técnica De Babahoyo. Se realizó una encuesta a 1062 personas de una población de 12272, utilizando una metodología deductiva para comprender las preferencias del colectivo universitario respecto a la imagen que representará a la universidad. La propuesta inicial sugiere una mascota representada por una serpiente, y se plantea un concurso entre diseñadores para su creación, así como el uso de las respuestas de la encuesta en una campaña para el lanzamiento del emblema, con el fin de fomentar la interacción entre la academia y la comunidad.es_ES
