| dc.description.abstract | El agroturismo es una actividad recreativa incluida en las modalidades de turismo rural, en la que se conectan una o más etapas relacionadas con la producción agrícola, además de la agroindustria, la artesanal, la pública y la gastronómica, que permite a los visitantes satisfacer sus necesidades y descubrir nuevas experiencias, emociones y conocimientos La presente investigación de tipo cualitativa emplea la metodología de valoración cualitativa de los atributos de hacienda agroturística a la Hacienda los Prados, ubicada en el cantón Baba en la provincia de los Ríos, la cual desde el año 2000 vienen desarrollando actividades de agroturismo para los turistas. Por medio de la metodología empleada se busca conocer si los atributos cualitativos con los que cuenta la hacienda son los adecuados para que esta sea denominada y reconocida como hacienda agroturística en el cantón. Este trabajo se respalda en la línea de investigación de la Carrera de Turismo de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo “Desarrollo de bienes, procesos y productos turísticos”. El producto de este estudio se basa en un instrumento estandarizado que sirve como insumo de información y facilita la elección del destino agroturìstico a los turistas potenciales. Esta investigación abre la posibilidad de que las familias que viven en zonas rurales diversifiquen sus servicios y generen ingresos adicionales, para desarrollar proporcionalmente el agroturismo hasta que se convierta en su principal actividad y este, a su vez, sea el modelo para otras fincas de la ciudad y otras localidades con similitudes.
