dc.descriptionThe present case study was carried out in the Simón Bolívar canton on traveler safety and experiential tourism, because it is a tourist place with exotic cuisine, traditions, legends and freshwater spas. For this reason, the objective of the study is to evaluate tourism safety and its impact on experiential tourism. The methodology used in the investigative process was a quantitative approach, types of descriptive research by virtue of which the variables analyzed and documentary are characterized, because an analysis of the theories related to the subject of study was carried out. In addition, an inductive method and a survey technique were used, accompanied by a questionnaire of questions, which was applied to a sample of 100 people. The main results were: the experience of the visitors during the holiday was satisfactory because they were able to enjoy the activities despite the insecurity of the destination, the tourist products and services offered by the canton are not innovative and the people who visit the canton are motivated by different reasons such as field trips, visiting spas and gastronomy. It is concluded that, in the Simón Bolívar canton, there were no controls in strategic places in the area that provide security to the traveler, the town has several characteristic tourist products and places that generate an acceptable contribution to achieve tourism and local development in the long term and the canton authorities do not predestine actions to promote its tourist attractions.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio de caso se realizó en el cantón Simón Bolívar sobre la seguridad del viajero y el turismo vivencial, debido a que es un lugar turístico de exótica gastronomía, tradiciones, leyendas y balnearios de agua dulce. Por tal razón, el objetivo del estudio es evaluar la seguridad turística y su impacto en el turismo vivencial. La metodología utilizada en el proceso investigativo fue enfoque cuantitativo, tipos de investigación descriptiva en virtud de que se caracterizan las variables analizadas y documental, porque se realizó un análisis de las teorías relacionadas al tema de estudio. Además, se empleó método inductivo y técnica de encuesta acompañada de un cuestionario de preguntas, cual fue aplicado a una muestra de 100 personas. Los principales resultados fueron: la experiencia de los visitantes durante el feriado fue satisfactoria debido a que pudieron disfrutar de las actividades a pesar de la inseguridad del lugar de destino, los productos y servicios turísticos que ofrece el cantón no son innovadores y las personas que visitan el cantón son motivadas por distintas razones como salidas de campo, conocer balnearios y gastronomía. Se concluye que, en el cantón Simón Bolívar no existieron controles en lugares estratégicos de la zona que brinden seguridad al viajero, la localidad posee varios productos y lugares turísticos característicos que generan un aporte aceptable para lograr un desarrollo turístico y local en el largo plazo y las autoridades del cantón no predestinan acciones para promocionar sus atractivos turísticos.es_ES
