The development of this case study arises from the need of producers to present economic losses due to feed toxicity that occurs in animal production systems, considered as a source of food for the population; being then of vital importance to maintain food safety, since it must be nutritious and safe for the animal. In addition, it is intended to make known about the existence of mycotoxins, referencing the effects caused in the animal if it is exposed by large degrees of toxicity in the food. If there are health alterations in the farm animals, it is necessary to act quickly, since if this is due to the presence of mycotoxicosis, there is not much time to take the necessary corrective measures, considering it opportune to withdraw the suspect feed until having information if these affections are caused by the degree of contamination of the feed. Therefore, to control or reduce the damage that toxins can cause in the intestinal health of pigs, strategies that result in an improvement of animal health must be considered. The reduction in productivity is mainly due to the age and degree of exposure that the animal may have with contaminated feed; one of the characteristic effects of mycotoxicosis is immunosuppression, which makes the pig more susceptible to contracting diseases, resulting in multiple economic losses for the producer, which is why the objective of this work is to analyze the correct use of mycotoxin sequestering additives in the feeding of pigs to improve zootechnical production indicators.es_ES
