dc.descriptionThis document aims to expand knowledge about the international trade of Ecuadorian cocoa from 2000 to 2020, taking into account the exports it has had in the years already mentioned. International trade has a variety of definitions, so much so that in simple terms it is known as the exchange of goods and/or services between countries that will generate significant benefits. The production and export of cocoa has represented for decades a source of employment generation, economic growth and development in various countries of the world. In Ecuador, cocoa exports have been led by large companies, however, small and medium-sized producers that are distributed along the coastline are recognized as suppliers of the raw material. In another context, the production and export of cocoa in turn supports many families who live in rural areas and are dedicated to the planting, production and marketing of cocoa beans. The work focuses on the analysis of the exports that Ecuador has had in the years 2000 to 2020, showing both the exports (t) in those years and the USD FOB income. The information will be collected through research on historical statistical data from institutions such as the Central Bank of Ecuador (BCE), the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Aquaculture and Fisheries (MAGAP), Association National of Exporters Cocoa of Ecuador (ANECACAO) among others. . The quality of Ecuadorian aroma fine cocoa and its characteristics is a great opportunity to improve production and be able to meet the unique international demand.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEste documento tiene como objetivo ampliar el conocimiento sobre el comercio internacional del cacao ecuatoriano del 2000 al 2020, tomando en consideración las exportaciones que ha tenido en los años ya mencionados. El comercio internacional tiene una variedad de definiciones, tanto así, que en términos simples se le conoce como el intercambio de bienes y/o servicios entre países generando importantes beneficios. La producción y exportación de cacao ha representado durante décadas una fuente de generación de empleo, crecimiento económico y desarrollo en varios países del mundo. En el Ecuador las exportaciones de cacao han sido lideradas por grandes empresas, no obstante, se reconoce como proveedores de la materia prima a los pequeños y medianos productores que se encuentran distribuidos a lo largo del litoral costero. En otro contexto la producción y exportación de cacao a su vez sirve de sustento a muchas familias que viven en las zonas rurales y se dedican a la siembra, producción y comercialización de cacao en grano. El trabajo se centra en el análisis de las exportaciones que ha tenido el Ecuador en los años 2000 hasta el 2020, mostrando tanto las exportaciones (t) en esos años como el ingreso USD FOB. La información será recolectada a través de investigaciones sobre datos estadísticos históricos de instituciones como el Banco Central del Ecuador (BCE), Ministerio de Agricultura, Ganadería, Acuacultura y Pesca (MAGAP), Asociación Nacional de Exportadores de Cacao del Ecuador (ANECACAO) entre otras. La calidad del cacao fino de aroma ecuatoriano y sus características únicas es una gran oportunidad para mejorar la producción y poder suplir la demanda internacional.es_ES
