dc.descriptionThis case study "Influence on academic performance due to COVID-19 in a basic education student" addressed the variables: academic performance due to COVID-19, its study subject was a 13-year-old adolescent. To verify the relationship between the variables, psychological techniques and tools were used that determined an imbalance in the cognitive and emotional functions of the patient, which interfere with their behavior within the family and academic environment. Indeed, their academic performance has decreased since this new teaching-learning process began and to intervene in that, the cognitive-behavioral psychotherapeutic model was used, with the aim of teaching the patient strategies and skills that modify their cognition, emotion and behavior.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEste estudio de caso “Influencia en el rendimiento académico a causa del COVID-19 en un alumno de educación básica” abordó las variables: rendimiento académico a causa del COVID-19, su sujeto de estudio fue un adolescente de 13 años de edad. Para constatar la relación entre las variables se utilizaron técnicas y herramientas psicológicas que determinaron un desbalance en las funciones cognitivas y emocionales del paciente, las cuales interfieren en su comportamiento dentro del entorno familiar y académico. En efecto, su rendimiento académico ha disminuido desde que empezó este nuevo proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje y para intervenir en aquello se empleó el modelo psicoterapéutico cognitivo-conductual, con el objetivo de enseñar al paciente estrategias y habilidades que modifiquen su cognición, emoción y comportamiento.es_ES
